Introductory sessions are supported by equipment provided by Breadalbane Canoe Club. As paddlers become sufficiently competent and express a desire to continue into slalom, they will be given the opportunity to use the Club’s slalom competition boats and paddles. Other equipment provided by the club for paddlers in year 1 of slalom are:

Additionally, for winter sessions consider:

As above plus:
PADDLERS ARE EXPECTED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN PERSONAL EQUIPMENT AS SOON AS PARENTS FEEL THE INVESTMENT IS WORTHWHILE.
As a guide, paddlers should obtain their own spraydeck, buoyancy aid, helmet, cag & wetsuit during their 1st year in slalom (usually P.6). Paddlers should aim to obtain a paddle during P.7 or S.1 and a boat as soon as they are able.
The Club provide boats for introductory levels, but as paddlers progress they should be planning to purchase their own kayak by the time they move into Division 2. To help to keep costs down, the Club promote a scheme whereby boats are recirculated within the club at attractive prices. There is also an active second hand market at many slalom events.
